PROJECT

Formerly known as Children's Express, Headliners is a UK-wide news agency producing news, features and comment by young people for everyone.

Through a unique learning through journalism programme, young people aged 8 to 19 research and write stories on issues that are important to them for publication in national and local newspapers, magazines, television and radio.

The aim of this blog, created by Maëlle Guéroult and Connor Scullion, is to let every young person from Northern Ireland express their ideas and opinions, whatever their background.

The views contained in this blog are those of the individual writer and are not necessarily endorsed by Headliners, the host school or any other partner organisation.

Something's not write today

By Zoë Bailey-Wood

I don’t know what to write about today.
Well, I can think of loads but nothing which I can be bothered to type up.
I could ramble about shopping, shoes, school and other things.
I hate when people tell you to just think of anything to write or talk about.
There are loads but you just can’t pick one and they just expect you to pick one like that.
If you can’t think of what to write, they should just let you sit and do nothing but instead, you have to wreck your brain thinking of what you can write without sounding obsessed.
This is the point where you just ramble on about something you don’t care about because it’s short and easy to write about then when you finish and read over it, it makes no sense what so ever but it fills a good bit of the page so it will do.
I think they should give you a topic to write about because it’s so much easier!!!
